More will be listed as we come across them.

About the Hemispheres

The solstices and equinoxes are celebrated and observed at opposite times of the year in the Northern and Southern hemispheres. For example, when it is the summer solstice in the Northern hemisphere, it is the winter solstice in the Southern hemisphere.

The Northern hemisphere includes regions in the world that are above the Equator. For example places like North America, Central America, the northern parts of South America, Europe, Russia, two thirds of Africa, most of Asia.

The Southern hemisphere includes regions that are below the Equator. For example Australia, Zealandia (New Caledonia & New Zealand), South America, the southern part of Asia, Africa (South of Libreville) and Antarctica.
